Job summary

Flexential Corp. is seeking a Data Center Manager in Norcross, GA, to oversee data center operations, budgets, and uptime. You will lead Engineers and Technicians, mentor staff, and drive operational excellence while representing Flexential to customers and vendors.

You will manage DR drills, monitor critical systems, prepare performance reports, and develop SOPs. A strong background in data center infrastructure and leadership is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or 5+ years equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Management and Soft Skills: Leadership, soft skills, and emotional intelligence for team development.
• Technical Expertise: Root cause analysis, troubleshooting in critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Facility Operations: Primary 24x7 on-call contact to ensure critical systems uptime.
• Mission-Critical Equipment Oversight: Maintain and repair mission-critical systems ensuring 100% uptime.
• Budget Management: Manage site budget for staffing, maintenance and repairs.
• Cross-Market Collaboration: Participate in regional initiatives to improve operations.
• Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.
• Technical Documentation: Read blueprints and specs to guide operations and modifications.
• Team Leadership and Mentoring: Lead engineers and technicians and foster development.
• Disaster Recovery Exercises: Oversee drills to ensure preparedness.
• Customer Order Provisioning: Supervise electrical modifications for customer orders.
• Off-Hours Support: Assist with weekend maintenance to ensure continuity.
• Reporting & Performance: Prepare reports on infrastructure performance and utilization.
• Training and Development: Provide training materials for staff.
• Facility Inspections: Regular rounds to maintain high facility standards.
• Customer Engagement: Lead data center tours and explain operations.
• Monitoring & Alerting Systems: Configure and manage monitoring for early issue detection.
• Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.
