Job summary

KALCON in Houston, TX seeks an MEP OFCI Project Manager (Owner's Representative) to oversee OFCI equipment lifecycle for data center construction. Responsibilities span planning, procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule control.

The role requires coordinating with design and construction teams, managing vendors, and ensuring compliance with all regulations while maintaining budget discipline and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of construction experience.
• 3+ years of quality-related management, including plan development and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledgeable of departmental processes & policies, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
• Exercise considerable judgment and initiative, manage time effectively, and interact positively with staff and contractors to promote quality service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the OFCI scope and equipment requirements.
• Vendor selection and management; negotiate contracts and ensure quality, cost, and delivery.
• Budget and schedule management aligned with project timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to OFCI scope.
• Coordinate logistics, warehousing, and potential VMI programs.
• Interface with design/construction teams for integration and FAT.
• Oversee installation, safety, and QA/QC adherence.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
