Job summary

NWU is seeking an intern to design and test core functionalities of its Network Operating System that powers data center networks. You will research and implement cutting-edge networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and availability of data center infrastructure.

The role targets students pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in CS or CE, with strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures and programming in Python, Go, or Rust.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Undergraduate or Master's degree in CS, CE, or related field.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures; proficient in Python/Go/Rust.
• Familiarity with MySQL, Redis and Kafka for database management and messaging.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and network devices.

Responsibilities

• Design and test core functionalities of the Network Operating System powering data center networks.
• Research and implement new networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies to enhance data center infrastructure reliability and availability.
