Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Hamlet, NC is seeking a Network Install Technician to support data center infrastructure by installing and testing copper and fiber cabling, racks, and related hardware across multiple site locations.

The role emphasizes safety, precision, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure network stability and scalability. Expect hands-on technical work and travel to additional centers as required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience, or in similar technical roles.
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience.
• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.

Responsibilities

• Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
• Install Fiber and Copper cabling and patching between equipment.
• Ensure safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
• Travel within and outside of the regional work area as required.
