Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks a Subject Matter Data Center Network Engineer to support a major national laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on advanced data center networking, design, and optimization in a mission-critical environment.

You will apply high-level networking concepts, perform analyses, and develop automated solutions for engineering and scientific applications, while ensuring robust change control and incident response procedures.

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant discipline plus 3+ years of directly related experience.
• Experience in mission-critical production environments with change control and incident response.
• Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. Dept. of Energy Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical knowledge and analysis for specialized applications and environments.
• Perform functional systems analysis, design, integration, and documentation.
• Develop automated solutions for engineering and scientific applications.
• Assist with system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance across networking and information systems.
• Analyze user needs, define functional requirements, and develop plans for complex systems.
• Develop recommendations for system improvements and provide recognized expertise.
