Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a motivated Network Deployment Project Lead to own end-to-end medium to large-scale data center cabling deployments, migrations, new sites, and new regions.

The role involves planning, installation, and validation of networking equipment, while coordinating with external contractors and a wide range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, detail oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in installation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Experience with computer networking.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Initial cabling planning, installation, validation, and quality assessment.
• Engaging external contractors including newly onboarded cabling vendors.
• Planning and coordinating with stakeholders to determine device and cabling requirements, scheduling resources, and reporting progress.
• Installation of, racking and stacking networking devices, cable patching, and configuring devices using automation tools and CLI.
• Validation, device troubleshooting and stress testing prior to capacity delivery.
