Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Associate Mission Critical Construction Manager (MEP) to oversee on-site, multi-trade datacenter renovation and upgrade projects. This role supports transitioning from field exposure to greater leadership, working with experienced leaders to develop technical, coordination, and leadership skills.

Projects range from minor BMS/EPMS upgrades to major multi-contractor scopes, onsite at various data centers.

Qualifications

1–3 years or more of Mission Critical and Data Center construction field management experience; live datacenters exposure required.
Experience running crews in live datacenter environments.
Thorough experience with construction, safety, and quality best practices.
Ability to read and interpret a one-line diagram.
Ability to interpret P&ID/BMS controls diagrams.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and trace the flow of power.
Ability to abide and understand LOTO procedures and coach others.
OSHA30 Certificate preferred.
Experience with BMS and EPMS systems construction, integration, and commissioning tasks.
Willingness to travel to project sites.
Must be able to work for any US Employer without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Full-time on-site beginning at 6AM.
Coordinate and support internal and subcontractor teams on mission critical renovation/upgrade projects including BMS, EPMS, mechanical, electrical, and structural scopes.
Maintain safe working environment and champion safety culture.
Support project management with planning, schedule management, coordination, and closeout.
Provide technical direction and support for Trade Partners and field crews.
Provide construction and schedule updates to project management.
Assist with coordination of client submittals, site logistics plans, and as-built documentation.
Assist with coordination of RFIs and maintain log.
Attend site visits with client and subcontractors.
Coordinate with estimating and project team to support RFQs and bid submittals.
Promote positive customer relationships.
Coordinate site access and badging requests.
Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
