Job summary

TierPoint is seeking an experienced MEP Technician II to perform day-to-day maintenance on electrical‑mechanical systems within our data center. Expect to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical infrastructure; educate TierPoint staff on system tasks; and document ongoing service activities.

The role emphasizes a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, with a focus on uptime, safety, and adherence to procedures. On-site work in a data center environment is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center electrical/mechanical systems and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and one-line diagrams; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lead and train operations technicians as needed.
• Strong documentation and ticket-tracking discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality service and adheres to company standards.
• Manage ticket queue and report progress on assigned projects.
• Install and terminate network, power, and communication wiring.
• Support and validate power infrastructure and deployment.
• Provide remote hands and eyes support for client issues.
• Record and maintain power metrics and related details.
