Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee HVAC, piping and MEP delivery on data center projects. You will manage contracts, schedules, safety and commissioning readiness across on-site teams.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, a related degree, and strong leadership with vendor management. You will coordinate with Owners, Engineers, and Contractors, with an emphasis on quality and schedule adherence on client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in Mechanical Construction Management.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other MEP systems on large projects; data center experience desirable.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and construction management best practices.
• Experience negotiating contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical scopes of work, RFPs, budgets, and manage payments for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and other MEP systems.
• Administer mechanical construction contracts from procurement through installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Oversee scheduling, permitting, startup, and turnover activities for critical mechanical systems in data centers.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors and enforce health & safety standards onsite.
• Review installation progress for quality and compliance with drawings and specs.
• Lead coordination meetings with Owners, Engineers, Architects, GC and trade partners.
• Report to senior leadership on mechanical construction performance (cost, schedule, risk, quality, commissioning).
