Job summary

Gulfstar Ind is seeking an Assembly Technician to support the assembly, installation, and movement of MPE modules for data center construction. You will prepare materials, assemble prefabricated components, and help ensure project schedules are met in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well with electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical installers while following strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial labor experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn MPE assembly techniques and data center construction practices.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly of prefabricated MPE modules and equipment.
• Load, unload, stage, and transport materials using hand tools and material handling equipment.
• Read basic assembly drawings, work instructions, and material lists.
• Assemble brackets, supports, pipe racks, cable trays, and equipment frames.
• Assist electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical installers as directed.
• Install hardware, anchors, fasteners, insulation, and other components.
• Perform measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and fastening operations.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area (housekeeping).
• Identify damaged materials or quality issues and report them to supervision.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer site requirements.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Perform other duties as assigned
