Meta Careers is seeking an experienced Mechanical Subject Matter Expert in New Albany, OH to support design, operation, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems across its data center infrastructure.

The role focuses on cooling infrastructure, HVAC, chilled water plants, and precision cooling technologies, partnering with engineering, construction, and operations teams to drive improvements and address complex failures.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical infrastructure systems in data centers
• Knowledge of cooling, HVAC, chilled water plants
• Ability to plan maintenance procedures and assess risk
• QA/QC oversight for construction/maintenance projects

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite technical resource of mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration between local mechanical team and global teams
• Contribute to mechanical safety program for the site
• Plan resources, author or approve work procedures for troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance
• Conduct or oversee troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Oversee mechanical system configurations and upgrades to maintain system integrity and compliance with best practices
• Provide QA/QC oversight of construction projects and maintenance activity
