Job summary

BE&K Building Group seeks a Mechanical Superintendent to direct field operations on electrical-focused projects, with data center and mission-critical experience. Travel will be required.

You will lead safety, scheduling, and quality efforts from pre-construction through turnover, coordinating with clients and subcontractors. The role requires 8–12 years of experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex schedules and relationships across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (not required).
• 8 to 12 years of experience related construction projects within electrical focus.
• Excellent team development skills and leadership abilities.
• Strong ability to partner with the Project Manager and staff; excellent communication skills.
• Capable of dealing with ambiguity and tight work oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day job site activities including OSHA safety compliance.
• Direct field personnel according to the project plan.
• Communicate issues, events, performance, and progress daily to the Project Manager.
• Report any problems promptly to the Project Manager to facilitate cost-effective solutions.
• Establish effective working relationships with Clients, BE&K team members and subcontractors.
• Manage all phases of the construction process, including documenting progress and site activities.
• Project Start-Up/Turnover: identify pre-mobilization activities and develop start-up schedule.
