Job summary

BE&K Building Group is seeking an Electrical Superintendent with data center and mission-critical experience to lead onsite construction activities in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes safety, schedule integrity, and collaboration with owners, architects, and trade partners.

The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years in electrical-focused construction, strong leadership, and the ability to manage mobilization, pre-construction, and turnover while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field teams on construction projects with electrical focus.
• Strong leadership and team development abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with PMs and clients.
• Ability to negotiate tradeoffs between budget and construction processes.
• Adaptability to changing requirements and complex project environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day job site activities ensuring OSHA safety compliance.
• Direct field personnel according to the project plan.
• Communicate issues and progress daily to the Project Manager.
• Highlight problems promptly to enable cost-effective solutions.
• Build relationships with Clients, BE&K team members and subs.
• Coordinate with Project Executive on mobilization, sequencing and logistics.
• Develop start-up schedule with PM and review with leadership.
• Help formulate and implement construction schedules and baselines.
• Ensure safety pre-construction meetings and site safety plans are followed.
• Manage documentation, quality benchmarks and inspections per baseline schedule.
• Oversee subcontractor management, site utilization, and staging plans.
• Lead meetings (safety, weekly foreman, monthly schedule, Pull Plans, closeout).
• Maintain daily reports, logs, and revision/drawing control.
