Job summary

SB Energy, a SoftBank-backed infrastructure leader in Redwood City, is seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee hyper-scale data center projects from due diligence through construction documents. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, multi-site program management, and exceptional communication skills.

This full-time role demands 8+ years of data center design management experience, Lean Six Sigma, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience with data center design management & engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification.
• Active or recent leadership in data center and mission-critical trade organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in dynamic environments.
• Team leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center due diligence and design teams to deliver projects on time and to high quality.
• Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans.
• Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders.
• Proactively manage and communicate change throughout the project.
• Identify problems early and develop creative solutions.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and resolve issues.
• Develop technical and financial proposals for new/add/change data center projects.
• Build trusting relationships with client stakeholders.
