Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects, LLC seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to lead design and construction for data center mechanical systems. You will oversee HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, plumbing, and coordination with vendors and contractors onsite at client sites.

The role requires 6+ years in mechanical engineering, with senior construction/design management experience and strong AutoCAD skills. You’ll drive quality, safety, and efficiency across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required (or 4 additional years experience).
• 6+ years mechanical engineering experience, preferably data center/critical environment.
• 3+ years senior-level construction or design management experience.
• Understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical design principles, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical design development, coordination, and installation for data center projects.
• Oversee design and development for HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, and plumbing.
• Contribute to planning and prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to meet specs and quality.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and equipment like HVAC, chillers, CRAC units, towers.
• Conduct schedule and progress reviews for client teams and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot mechanical system issues during startup and commissioning.
• Maintain QA/QC/Cx documentation and turnover packages for operations.
