Job summary

Apple Inc. Garland (Dallas area) is seeking a Data Center Mechanical Design Engineer within Infrastructure Services to drive evaluation and refinement of data center cooling and mechanical systems.

You will design and validate hardware using CAD modeling, CFD/FEA, and lab testing, correlate results with system performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Apple.

The role requires hands‑on lab work, strong problem solving, and clear communication of complex technical concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in 2D/3D mechanical modeling (CAD) and analysis.
• 5+ years CFD/FEA, thermal, vibration or related analysis.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and improve evaluation environments, test fixtures and systems.
• Define project requirements, risks, effort and schedule.
• Drive transportation and vibration analysis.
• Create or manipulate CAD models for CFD/FEA tools.
• Correlate lab data with model results and share findings.
• Conduct design validation to requirements across teams.
• Support Data Center Operations including root cause analysis.
