Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join a global team responsible for the design, evaluation, and continuous innovation of our data center mechanical systems across multiple regions.

You will work on cooling, airflow, and energy efficiency to achieve high uptime and cost effectiveness. You'll collaborate with internal groups and external vendors, develop CFD models, produce design documentation, and drive standardization of data center engineering

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360).
• CFD Modeling and Analysis.
• Revit/BIM modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• CFD modeling and analysis experience (external and interior).
• Design and implement energy-efficient mechanical systems for data centers.
• Partner with teams to develop innovative cooling solutions and sustainability initiatives.
• BIM/Revit experience.
• Create comprehensive documentation for mechanical designs and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement through data analysis and system optimization.
• Guide project teams through planning, execution, and commissioning phases.
• Conceives, initiates, and leads projects with widespread impact on infrastructure design, innovation, and implementation.
