Qualifications

• 4–7 years in mechanical engineering or 8–10 years in construction management of heavy-industrial facilities including datacenters.
• Basic understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to drawings and specs; coordinate with home office/responsible engineer to meet project needs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting documents and drawings; input to change management.
• Engage in permitting with AHJs and work with Design-Build contractors in the field.
• Ensure revision control and latest construction document versions are available to contractors.
• Manage changes in design and installation and communicate timely information.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
