Job summary

Shamrock Business Consulting seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a data center project in Reno, NV. You will own the commissioning of cooling and mechanical systems, from planning to turnover, ensuring performance and safety on site.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commissioning with a mechanical focus and experience with chillers, AHUs, pumps, and piping. Hyperscale data centers and CxAlloy/BIM 360 familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading commissioning of mechanical systems from planning to turnover.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC, hydronic piping, and industrial cooling equipment.
• Ability to work with owners, GC partners, and vendors under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, run, and oversee commissioning of mechanical systems to project specs and industry standards.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate cooling equipment and piping systems.
• Prepare commissioning reports, checklists, and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to hit milestones.
• Ensure systems are fully operable and meet performance before turnover.
• Maintain safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture on site.
