Job summary

Shamrock Business Consulting, in partnership with a leading General Contractor, seeks a Commissioning Manager for its Reno, Nevada project team. This hands-on leadership role requires deep technical knowledge and a proven track record managing complex commissioning efforts in mission-critical environments.

You will develop and manage commissioning plans, lead field activities, oversee internal teams and subcontractors, ensure NFPA 70E and LOTO compliance, and utilize CxAlloy, BIM 360, and ACC

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with hands-on technical experience (min 5 years).
• Experience leading commissioning on large-scale projects, preferably data centers.
• Strong experience commissioning L2 through L5.
• Broad expertise across mechanical, electrical, and control systems (BMS, BAS).
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E and development and implementation of LOTO programs.
• Proficient with commissioning software platforms such as CxAlloy, BIM 360, and ACC Build.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive commissioning plan and integrated schedule covering inspection, startup, testing, and closeout.
• Lead commissioning field activities and direct internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring safety compliance with NFPA 70E and LOTO requirements.
• Implement and oversee commissioning management software (CxAlloy, BIM 360, ACC Build) to track documentation and execution.
• Coordinate with the client and the client's commissioning agent to define and deliver project-specific requirements, test scripts, and turnover documentation.
• Manage technical reviews including MEP systems, QA/QC coordination, load bank planning, equipment startup, and factory witness testing.
• Serve as subject matter expert in design reviews, scope matrix development, budgeting, and script feasibility for high-performance building systems.
