Job summary

Decima International seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead the technical commissioning of mechanical systems on data center projects, from design review through Integrated Systems Testing. You will develop test procedures, direct the field team, assess results against design intent, and report findings to the owner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7 to 10 years of commissioning on mechanical systems.
• US work authorization and ability to pass background/drug screen.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% on project sites.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical designs and submittals against owner requirements and identify commissioning concerns.
• Develop commissioning plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for cooling systems.
• Witness factory acceptance tests and lead site inspections and functional tests.
• Plan and lead the mechanical scope of Integrated Systems Testing with load scenarios.
• Review sequences of operation and controls integration with the controls engineer.
• Analyze test data, resolve disputes, determine conformance with design.
• Track deficiencies through closure and report progress to owner and leadership.
• Mentor commissioning technicians and coordinate with contractors, designers, and operators.
• Follow site safety procedures and permit requirements.
