Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical infrastructure and ensure high uptime for AWS services.

You will work on electrical and mechanical equipment, including diesel generators, UPS, PDUs, CRACs and cooling systems, in a fast-paced data center environment. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and the ability to work on-call on rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including filters and battery systems
• Perform root cause analysis for operational issues
• Troubleshoot facility and rack level events
• Ensure safety protocols on-site
• Work on-call and rotating schedule
• Take daily readings and report metrics to senior engineers
• Handle ticketing, root cause analysis, and task prioritization
