Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer to design and develop test setups and procedures for LV power distribution systems used in data centers.

You will work closely with design engineering, lead lab activities, review results, and present findings to customers, while ensuring safety, quality and on-time testing.

This onsite role requires hands-on troubleshooting, strong communication, and a commitment to cross-functional teamwork on mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent degree; preferred with thermal sciences emphasis.
• 1-3 years’ experience in power management systems testing.
• Knowledge of Vertiv Power Management Products.
• Knowledge of LabView.
• Ability to read and interpret industry test standards.
• Hands-on with test set-ups to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.

Responsibilities

• Work in Lab environment and direct local Test Technicians in daily activity.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure test procedures/data meet expectations.
• Review test progress and evaluate results.
• Perform presentations utilizing test equipment for customer visits.
• Perform test validations and Factory Witness Tests.
• Calibrate instrumentation within the lab.
• Provide support to engineering and support groups to deliver quality test products.
