Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer to design and develop LV power distribution test setups, procedures, and documentation for data center applications. In this role you will direct Test Technicians in lab activities, collaborate with design engineers to ensure procedures meet requirements, create test plans for customer demonstrations, and evaluate results.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
1–3 years of experience in power management system testing or similar.
Familiarity with lab equipment, data acquisition, and test procedure development.
Able to read schematics and interpret industry test standards.

Responsibilities

Work in lab setting and supervise Test Technicians in daily activities and assignments.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure test procedures and data meet expectations.
Create Test Plans for customer equipment demonstrations.
Review test progress and evaluate results.
Present test outcomes using appropriate equipment for customer visits.
Perform test validations and Factory Witness Tests as required.
Calibrate instrumentation and maintain lab equipment.
Support engineering and customer teams to deliver high-quality test products.
Experience with safety certifications (UL/CE) is preferred.
