Job summary

Prime Partners is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to support a data center build‑out with copper and fiber cabling, security rough‑in, and A/V rough‑in. The role is hands‑on, production‑driven, and ideal for technicians with solid structured cabling experience who can work independently on site.

Typical schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime. Pay ranges from $25–$28 per hour, with weekly pay on a major data center project that emphasizes safety, quality, and

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on low-voltage data cabling experience.
  • Experience with Cat 6 termination and structured cabling.
  • Experience with conduit installation and J-hook pathways.
  • Fiber experience (terminating, testing, splicing) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Must be able to work day shift with overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structured cabling installations for data center projects
  • Pull, dress, label, and terminate Cat 6 copper cabling to standards
  • Install J-hook pathways, cable tray, and conduit as needed
  • Support fiber optic work including terminating, testing, and splicing
  • Test cables using Fluke testers and related tools
  • Assist with security and A/V rough-in work
  • Read prints and scope documents; maintain safety on site
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members; follow safety policies
