McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Superintendent to lead coordination of controls, security, fire alarm, communications, and fiber-optic systems on mission-critical projects across sites.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in field leadership for GC/electrical contractors and 4+ years overseeing low-voltage scopes. Travel across locations is expected; a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a field leadership role for a GC, electrical contractor, low-voltage contractor, or related specialty.
• 4+ years supervising low-voltage, controls, security, fiber-optic, or related systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field preferred.
• Proven track record as a Superintendent on hyperscale, Mission Critical or large data center projects.
• Thorough knowledge of low-voltage systems including building automation, access control, video, intrusion, fire alarm, cabling, and fiber.

Responsibilities

• Lead low-voltage subcontractors across controls, security, fire alarm, communications, and fiber.
• Develop CPM schedules for low-voltage installation, testing, programming, and commissioning.
• Coordinate activities, scheduling, material procurement, and site access with project team and vendors.
• Review contract documents and system narratives; propose improvements as needed.
• Supervise submittals, shop drawings, wiring diagrams, network architecture, and test plans.
• Coordinate installation and integration of building automation, access control, video, and cabling systems.
• Ensure work meets contract requirements, codes, and project standards.
• Track progress, inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
