Job summary

DHL is hiring a Data Center Logistics Specialist I in Kansas City, MO. The role covers receiving and shipping hardware, asset and data management, and installation or decommissioning of data center assets using a warehouse management system.

You will stage equipment, connect power and network cables, and support routine maintenance under supervision. Weekdays from 7:30am to 4pm, with responsibility for security, environmental controls, and data protection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Prior data center experience desirable.
• Proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outgoing hardware and manage inventory.
• Install servers, rack and stack, and connect power and network cables.
• Prepare hardware for deployment with labeling and configuration.
• Perform routine data center hardware installations under supervision.
• Respond quickly to alerts to minimize downtime.
• Maintain servers through routine maintenance and upgrades.
• Ensure environmental conditions prevent overheating and outages.
• Maintain data center security protocols and access control.
• Protect sensitive data according to company policies.
