Job summary

Amazon is seeking a logistics professional for our AWS team in the Columbus, OH area. The role involves monitoring inventory, processing shipments, performing cycle counts, and managing an Inventory Management System to support data center technicians and engineers.

You will drive a variety of vehicles, from sprinter vans to box trucks up to 26 feet, and ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance with DOT and security requirements. A US Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions and reverse logistics.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
• 1+ years experience driving box trucks up to 26’ in length and operating a forklift (or similar powered lifting equipment).

Responsibilities

• Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
• Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between locations, including localized driving of transportation vehicles.
• Attend company provided fork lift operator training.
• Complete company provided training in driving box trucks up to 26’ in length.
• Handle sensitive/classified materials.
• Work with and around moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally work is in an office environment.
• Work overtime as required.
• Lift loads of up to 40 pounds and carry them for short distances.
