Amazon is seeking a logistics professional for our Amazon Web Services Team in the Columbus, OH area.

Logistics Specialists monitor inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities in our warehouse and data centers. They process inbound and outbound shipments, verify inventory, conduct cycle counts, manage an Inventory Management System and own chain‑of‑custody processes for Data Center Technicians and Engineers. They will also be responsible for transporting parts between different locations using sprinter vans, trucks, or other powered equipment (i.e., forklift or electric pallet jack). They must regularly drive a variety of motorized vehicles, including box trucks up to 26’ in length, and must hold a valid driver’s license, obtain a Driver Qualification File (DQF) and/or a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and maintain a DOT Medical Card in compliance with DOT regulations.

This position involves frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials and products, maintaining precise records, and ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work spaces. The candidate must be capable of lifting loads up to 40 pounds, participate in group lifts of 41 pounds or more, push or pull heavy objects, coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment, and work overtime as required.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check‑out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers
• Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles
• Attend company‑provided forklift operator training
• Complete company‑provided training in driving box trucks up to 26’ in length
• Handle sensitive/classified materials and work around moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally work in an office environment
• Work overtime as required

Physical Requirements

• Lift loads of up to 40 pounds and carry them for short distances
• Participate in group lifts of 41 pounds or more
• Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment
• Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
• Push or pull heavy objects into position
• Work in a noisy environment
• Stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time

Basic Qualifications

• Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions, and reverse logistics
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
• Must be a US citizen and possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience driving box trucks up to 26’ in length and operating a forklift (or similar powered lifting equipment)
• Experience using a computerized Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices
