Job summary

Castrol is seeking a hands-on engineer to join the Advanced Electrification Testing (AET) team. You will lead research, design and conduct experiments for data centre liquid cooling and thermal management, building and operating test setups and reporting findings.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in thermal management or electronics cooling, with strong data analysis skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust lab capabilities for cutting-edge cooling

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering or science discipline.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with data centre or high-density electronics liquid cooling.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, or operating cooling test equipment.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Experience in engineering/R&D testing projects with data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Strong communication with customers, partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute R&D projects focused on data centre liquid cooling and thermal management.
• Design, build, set up and operate thermal and liquid-cooling test equipment.
• Develop test methods using DoE and statistics.
• Analyze data, interpret results and report progress.
• Provide engineering support for test equipment and lab capabilities.
• Develop ideas for testing emerging cooling technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers and partners as a technical representative.
• Maintain high safety and operational standards in lab activities.
