Job Description
The Data Center Liquid Cooling Solution Engineer US and EMEA is responsible for managing development of end-to-end solutions with glycol-based and water-based thermal fluids for US and EMEA. The data center liquid cooling market is scaling rapidly as Castrol we want to shape the development of the industry and technology over the next year.
This role will work closely with the Data Centre (DC) Global Technology Manager, Offer Development, Diversification and M&A, Technical Service Engineering, Data Center Presales, Data Center Global Technology Marketing, and others.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as a technical project manager for direct-liquid cooling (DLC) end-to-end solution development, working closely with offer development, diversification lead, TSE (Technical Service Engineer), and Product development/Technology deployment for glycol-based and water-based fluids
- Working closely with customer and ecosystem partners of technology development, technology deployment and operations Integration, validation and deployment for data centre liquid cooling solutions
- Lead and own technical collaborations with external parties for technical evaluation of hardware and others to prepare bundled offers with Castrol single phase water/glycol fluids. Coordinate with OEM liaison, product development and/or technology deployment, and testing group for testing beyond fluids
- Work actively in industry groups and standardization bodies to advance standards and guidelines for liquid cooling technology
- Support technical assessment of diversification / inorganic opportunities from identification, evaluation, execution throughout integration
- Provide market feedback on glycol-based and water-based fluids back to Technology team to differentiate Castrol data center team’s offers from its competitors
- Support market introduction of new offers by working closely with marketing and offer development on development of marketing materials and trainings for internal and external stakeholders
- Work with OEM liaison to respond quickly to customers’ product related requests on glycol-based and water-based fluids related to hardware and others and collaborate to achieve product validation and approvals
- Work closely with business development, service partners and customers to support solution deployments and troubleshooting
Education & Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Science and Engineering including mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or related field
- Experience in data centre cooling and infrastructure environment, ideally coming from design and engineering background (3+ years) alternatively IT hardware/system background
- Demonstrated track record in delivering projects focused on product development
- Several years of practical experience in customer management
- Experience with water/glycol thermal management fluids or chemical products
- Proven leadership with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-centricity and experience in managing complex customer relationships
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to manage large, complex projects which need coordinating resources internally and externally
- Team-player able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions
- Demonstrated skills to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals
