Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Life Safety Systems/Fire Alarm Engineer to design fire alarm, detection, and life safety systems for data center facilities. The role involves leading design efforts, coordinating with BIM teams, and delivering compliant, constructible designs.

You will interface with clients and local authorities, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 2D/3D deliverables. This hybrid role offers collaboration across multiple offices and projects, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD design experience.
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and NFPA codes; NEC.
• PE license desired; data center design experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary assessments and concept creation.
• Lead designs with peers and BIM designers; resolve issues.
• Produce drawings and specifications; ensure accessibility for customers and vendors.
