Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, is seeking a skilled professional to lead field installation and decommissioning in a data center environment. You will manage 1-5 technicians, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep projects on track.

The role requires understanding of wiring, test procedures, and the ability to read blueprints while delivering reliable network and cabling solutions for mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools.
• Ability to lead a crew of 1-5 technicians.
• Understand customer service, perform job walks and communicate with customers about requirements.
• Take responsibility for outcomes of work performed by self and directs.
• Understand job safety requirements.
• Read and understand job floor plans.
• Familiarity with wiring schemes and wiring testing.
• Ability to pull all types of low voltage cables.
• Perform field terminations and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Install/decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, with focus on improvement.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
• Exhibit quality workmanship and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
• Follow production, safety, and quality standards, codes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
• Maintain a broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.
