Job summary

Meta is hiring a Data Center Lead to direct a team of Data Center Server Repair Technicians at a Huntsville site. Youll drive performance, schedule coverage, and incident responses while ensuring safety and high standards. The role emphasizes coaching, cross-functional partnering, and career development for technicians.

You will manage on-site operations, lead 1:1s, and escalate issues to partners as needed. Strong Linux, fiber optics, and cabling knowledge is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data center, IT, or network operations experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating teams, e.g., as a manager or shift lead.
• Strong safety and quality track record in hands-on ops.
• Able to communicate clearly and escalate to partners.
• On-site work for a 24/7 operation and on-call rotation.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage Data Center Server Repair Technicians with biweekly 1:1s.
• Set goals and growth roadmaps for technicians toward independence.
• Own site shift scheduling, weekend roation, and on-call duty.
• Lead incident responses and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Enforce MOP adherence, ticket hygiene, and safety standards.
• Represent the site in leadership forums and relay field feedback.
• Coach teams on responsible AI use and interpretation of AI diagnoses.
