Job Description:

1. Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) according to instructions, checklists, guides, standards, and emails.
2. Performs post-execution quality checks and verifies proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety and deployment standards.
3. Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting, quickly identifying issues and replacing faulty components.
4. Decommissions IT hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures.
5. Follows procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to Datacenter Technician Leads.

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays.

Previous datacenter experience and CompTIA Certifications are a plus.

Workplace and Benefits:

This is a fully onsite position in Des Moines, IA or West Des Moines, IA.

The pay range is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, PTO, and more.
