Job summary

Jobtailor in Ohio is seeking a skilled Warehouse/Materials Technician to support inventory management, material orders, and customer service within a data center environment. Duties include assembling and installing servers and electronic components, using hand tools and measuring devices, and handling inbound and outbound freight with proper documentation.

You will perform daily inventory cycle counts, replenishment of spare parts on site, and ensure safety by following 5S standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills needed to meet production goals.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols required.
• Must be able to pass background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain effective material orders, customer service, and inventory management.
• Assemble and install servers and electronic components using hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
• Oversee loading and unloading of inbound/outbound freight and manage shipping documents and records.
• Perform quality checks on inbound/outbound freight for accurate part numbers and quantities.
• Conduct daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site at the data center.
• Process return shipments of various electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems.
• Place server racks on the datacenter floor with 100% accuracy using laser measuring devices.
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks following diagrams and schematics.
• Install rack hardware using various hand, power and measuring tools.
• Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks.
• Maintain workspace safety, cleanliness and 5S standards through cleanup activities.
• Push, pull and lift frequently throughout the workday.
