Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design to turnover. You will lead regional projects, troubleshoot equipment, and develop upgrade designs to improve capacity, availability, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams, conduct audits, and be resident engineer on new construction, balancing field work with office tasks across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Valid and active USA driver's license.
• Coursework in commercial/industrial mechanical systems.
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with data analytics and data querying; comfortable with large data.
• Experience using web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, conduct RCA, and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to add capacity and improve efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Work on concurrent projects across regions.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits and on-site visits; produce risk reports with mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects; support turnover.
