Clemson University is seeking a Data Center Engineer for its Anderson, SC facilities. The role focuses on designing and managing electrical and mechanical cooling equipment, plus power generation and delivery systems across CCIT data centers.

You will provide electrical engineering support to hardware teams and participate in strategic planning and on-call rotations to ensure 24x7 operations. A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and entry-level engineering experience are required.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or engineering technology.
• Entry-level engineering or architectural work experience.

Responsabilités

• Design and manage all electrical and mechanical cooling equipment in CCIT data centers.
• Identify cooling problems and coordinate with vendors for repairs and parts.
• Communicate downtime to administrators during repairs and maintenance.
• Receive, configure, monitor and maintain data center power generation and delivery systems.
• Provide electrical engineering support to hardware engineers and hosted/co-location customers.
• Participate in strategic planning for data center power, cooling and monitoring of infrastructure systems.
• Serve as part of on-call rotation providing 24x7 support.
