Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks DC Infra Eng II – AMZ004807 to provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design through construction and operation, serving as the go-to BIM engineering resource for the region.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams on design, build and retrofit projects, review BIM models, drive BIM standards, coordinate with internal engineering, construction and other stakeholders, and may travel up to 50% domestically.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Construction and 1 year of related experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in related occupation.
• Experience in design/construction, BIM & VDC models including coordination and model reviews.
• Experience exporting embedded data from BIM models to spreadsheets.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design through operation.
• Act as the go-to BIM engineering resource for the region and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Review and release BIM models and drive standards for BIM systems.
• Manage external design consultants and coordinate with internal teams (engineering, construction).
• Lead initiatives to improve quality, schedule, and cost in ongoing and future projects.
• Occasionally travel up to 50% domestically to fulfill responsibilities.
