Job summary

Referment partners with a global investment firm to run critical infrastructure, including data centers and colocation sites in North and Central New Jersey. The role focuses on transforming cooling and power architectures from specification to production capacity, ensuring facilities support dense hardware and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center operations or critical facilities environments.
• Hands-on experience with direct liquid cooling architectures, including fluid management and maintenance.
• Experience managing capacity and density from power chains to thermal thresholds.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings to trace power delivery and spot thermal issues.
• Analytical, data-driven approach with clear cross-team communication across global colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and deployment of high-density infrastructure, carrying specifications through to field execution.
• Manage site capacity across power, cooling and space to stay within limits and allow growth.
• Oversee vendors installing specialist infrastructure, ensuring power delivery and thermal management meet requirements.
• Develop runbooks and validate new deployments, confirming power distribution, thermal balance and production readiness.
• Pilot and document next-generation cooling, including liquid-to-chip systems and secondary cooling loops.
• Maintain monitoring and inventory records, integrating deployments into alerting and DCIM systems and provide senior technical support for hardware issues.
