About The Role

As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services function, responsible for technical maintenance in critical client environments.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company processes, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance does not meet requirements.
• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor BMS for operational and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client issues.
• Conduct building walkthroughs, take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities.
• Address facility and plant faults and defects.
• Complete work following established procedures, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and maintaining quality standards.
• Participate in required training to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems under supervision.

What You’ll Need

• Training in a technical discipline with an apprenticeship or equivalent, 1-2 years of related experience, or a combination of experience and education.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to meet role requirements.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills for calculating simple figures.
