Black & Veatch’s Mechanical Buildings Design Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and plumbing systems for Data Centers, leading design efforts and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes CFD modeling, energy efficiency, and adherence to BV quality standards.

You will contribute to projects of varying scope, apply advanced engineering methods, and mentor junior engineers while advancing your career with a leading ESOP-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering required.
• PE license or active pursuit preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience in mechanical engineering or data center design.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for Data Centers across various facilities.
• Lead design activities and ensure compliance with BV quality program.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams and mentor junior staff.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
• Develop project deliverables and manage budgets, schedules, and quality.
