Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Local HVAC Data Center Chiller Technician in Indianapolis to join our team. You’ll participate in startup and commissioning of new units, perform diagnostics, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and maintain reliability for critical cooling systems.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, EPA Universal certification, 5+ years in HVAC and 3+ years with centrifugal chillers, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Universal certification required.
• 5+ years HVAC industry experience; 3+ years with centrifugal chillers.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50 lbs and work on rooftops.

Responsibilities

• Participate in startup and commissioning of new units.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical malfunctions; perform scheduled maintenance.
• Review regulations and interpret blueprints/diagrams.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and escalate issues as needed.
• Prioritize safety by following licensing requirements and wearing PPE.
