Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Traveling HVAC Data Center Chiller Technician to service and commission data center cooling systems across the United States. The role emphasizes field leadership, independent work, and teamwork in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of HVAC experience, 3+ years with centrifugal chillers, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to travel on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry.
• 3+ years working on Centrifugal Chillers.
• Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs.
• EPA UniversalCertification.
• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended period of time, climb a ladder, and the ability to work on rooftop.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Travel to different Data Center Sites on long-term rotational travel schedule (4 weeks traveling / 1 week off).
• Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applying expertise to support a state-of-the-art facility.
• Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues for resolution when necessary.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.
