Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Herndon, VA is seeking a Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer to lead design projects for operational data centers, upgrading infrastructure and improving availability and sustainability. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review submittals, and support lifecycle from design to deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.
Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

Responsibilities

Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions adding infrastructure and capacity.
Review design and equipment submittals for data centers in your region.
Interface with internal and external design engineering teams, server hardware teams, and safety teams to promote standards.
Lead multiple projects across different geographic regions and act as SME for your discipline.
