Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the IAD region seeks a Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer to lead design projects in operational data centers, remediating issues, upgrading infrastructure, and adding new services.

You will be the go-to engineering resource, own the design for upgrades, review submittals, interface with multiple teams, manage projects across regions, and support construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
Experience in mission critical facilities engineering is essential.

Responsibilities

Own the design for existing data center upgrades and add data center infrastructure, capacity, and sustainability.
Perform design and equipment submittal review for data centers in your region.
Interface with internal and external data center design teams, server hardware, EHS, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards.
Lead concurrent projects across multiple regions and act as a technical SME during remediation projects.
Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.
