Metric Search is partnering with a high-growth technology infrastructure business to hire a Finance & Forecasting Manager in New York or San Francisco.
This individual will play a key role in financial planning across a growing portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects. The position will focus on building detailed forecasts, analyzing project performance and improving the systems and processes used to support financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain project-level forecasts covering capital expenditures, operating costs and cash requirements.
- Manage recurring forecasting processes, working across teams to collect inputs and understand changes in project assumptions.
- Analyze actual performance against forecasts and identify the underlying drivers behind cost and timing variances.
- Develop scenario models to understand the financial impact of project delays, design changes, new investments and other operational developments.
- Partner with operational and technical stakeholders to translate project plans into clear financial assumptions.
- Improve and automate forecasting processes by connecting financial models with underlying data sources.
- Maintain clear, structured financial models with transparent assumptions and supporting data.
Background
- Experience building CapEx and OpEx forecasts for large projects, infrastructure portfolios or other capital-intensive businesses.
- Strong FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with SQL or large financial datasets.
- Strong variance analysis with the ability to identify the operational drivers behind financial performance.
- Comfortable building financial scenarios quickly as business or project assumptions change.
- Experience working with technical, operational, construction or project teams.
- Experience with construction spending schedules, power or energy costs, Anaplan or similar planning systems is beneficial.
- Experience within data centers, digital infrastructure, technology infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, utilities, construction or real estate development is preferred.

Compensation:
$176,000-$224,000 base salary plus equity.
