Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Technician in Atlanta, GA to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware servers and components. You’ll work on Google's Linux-based infrastructure and participate in small project teams, often handling rack installation and network gear assembly.

This role requires physical lift of up to 50 lb, non-standard hours, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and troubleshooting technical equipment at component level.
• Diagnostic experience with OS, server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Must work non-standard hours including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Report issues and follow procedures to diagnose equipment or infrastructure issues.
• Maintain the security and integrity of data per Google standards.
• Disassemble end-of-life equipment in a team setting.
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on servers and infrastructure.
