Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including standby diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency, with possible travel between sites and rotating shifts. The role emphasizes hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, adherence to local practices, and support for change

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts and adapt to schedule rotations.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
