Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission‑critical facilities and ensure 99.999% uptime across AWS data centers.

You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, perform PMs, troubleshoot incidents, and support change management with precise documentation. You will collaborate with facility managers, engineers, and contractors, work shifts up to 12 hours, and travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance or 1+ years combined electrical and mechanical experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management programs.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per procedures and local laws.
